Dr. Jim Bookwalter grew up as the son of a US Navy dentist having lived in multiple communities throughout his childhood. He attended Ohio University and earned a BS in biology pre-medicine in 2001. After spending years in biomedical research at Columbus Children’s Hospital, Dr. Bookwalter entered The Ohio State University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2013.  

 

Dr. Bookwalter is passionate about many areas of dentistry ranging from basic restorative to cosmetic rehabilitation and implant reconstruction.  He enjoys educating patients and empowering them to make informed decisions.  His number one focus is to make each patient feel respected, informed, and well cared for.  He prides himself on attention to detail and finds significant satisfaction in the hunt for perfection. 

 

Dr. Bookwalter has many hobbies outside of the dental office.  Those hobbies include kayaking, mountain biking, skiing, shooting, and spending time in nature with his wife and two children.
